DFSR is an open-access journal available to everyone at no cost. The public can freely view, download, copy, share, print, search, and link to the full text of any content. Authors maintain their copyright, and all articles are published under a CC-BY-NC license, allowing others to use them with proper attribution for non-commercial purposes.

Permission from the copyright owner is required for anyone wishing to sell, distribute, or create derivative works based on the content, including compilations or translations. The rights holders should inform DFSR whenever they receive a request for such permissions. In cases where the author(s) incorporate parts of other copyright-protected works, they must obtain written consent from the owners and properly acknowledge the source(s) in their article.

As a condition of publication in DFSR, all authors agree to the following terms of licensing/copyright ownership:

  • First publication rights to original work accepted for publication are granted to DFSR, but copyright for all work published in the journal is retained by the author(s).
  • Works published in DFSR will be distributed under a CC-BY-NC license. By granting this license, authors retain copyright ownership of their work while allowing others to non-commercially download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, and/or copy it, provided that the source and author(s) are properly cited (including a complete bibliographic citation and a link to the DFSR website). No permission is required from the author(s) or the publishers for such uses.
  • Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual agreements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of the work, with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in DFSR.

Authors are allowed to share their work online through institutional or disciplinary repositories, as well as on their websites. When posting preprint versions online, authors should include a citation and a link to the final published version in DFSR as soon as it becomes available. For post-print versions, including the final publisher's PDF, a citation and a link to the journal's website must also be included.

It is the author's responsibility to obtain all necessary copyright permissions for the use of third-party materials in their manuscript. Upon acceptance of their manuscript, authors will be required to provide written evidence of this permission.
